Biography:

Vesna A. Wallace is a  Professor of Religious Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her fields of specialization are south Asian and Mongolian Buddhist traditions. She has published five books related to Indian and Mongolian Buddhism and numerous book chapters and articles, among which several articles pertain to the topic of Buddhism and law in Mongolia. Her new co-authored book  Text, Image and Ritual in Mongolian Buddhism is currently in press by Columbia University Press. She is also the Director of Mongolia Foundation in the U.S. and a Vice-President of the International Buddhist Confederation with headquarters in Delhi.
